On the morning of February 2, Weichai Group held the 2024 Science and Technology Innovation Awards Ceremony at the Weifang Grand Theater, awarding a total of RMB 65 million for significant research achievements and outstanding technology talents. Three special awards were each granted RMB 5 million. Liu Yun, the Secretary of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Tan Xuguang delivered a report on scientific and technological innovation titled Vigorously Promoting the Spirit of Engineers, Accelerating Towards a World-Class Technologically Strong Enterprise.
Liu Yun presented awards to representatives receiving the Weichai Scientific and Technological Special Award. In his speech, he emotionally reviewed Weichais history of scientific and technological innovation, reform, and development. He expressed that the Weifang Municipal Party Committee and Weifang Municipal Government will provide the best resources and optimal services, fully supporting Weichai in creating new legends and realizing its centennial dream.
Tan Xuguang emphasized the need to integrate the spirit of Weichai engineers into the companys DNA for a lasting legacy over a century.

Leaders from relevant departments in Weifang, members of the headquarters and second-level affiliated companies of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, leaders and technical backbone of all Weichai affiliated companies, including Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Co., Ltd., FAST, Hande Axle, and technicians from various companies, with a total of over 18,000 participants both online and offline.
