Dedicated craftsmanship drives intelligent manufacturing, and skills lead the future. On November 22, the Shandong “Skills Revitalize Shandong” Vocational Skills Competition — Key Technologies of New Energy Commercial Vehicles was held at the Sinotruk Jinan Truck Manufacturing Company.
Since its launch, the competition has received strong support and enthusiastic participation from organizations across the province, attracting more than 100 contestants from various enterprises. The competition covered three occupational categories: automotive electrical maintenance technician, automotive inspection and maintenance technician, and vehicle assembly and commissioning technician. Through theoretical examinations and practical skill assessments, the event focused on evaluating participants’ capabilities in vehicle assembly and commissioning, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting, and quality inspection. During the competition, contestants demonstrated strong technical expertise and professional discipline through focused and meticulous operations.
During the event, a delegation of officials from the Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security visited the “Hello, Future” exhibition hall, the final assembly workshop, the welding workshop, and the Diao Tongwu Innovation Studio at the Laiwu Factory of the Jinan Truck Manufacturing Company.
Focusing on core technologies of new energy commercial vehicles, the competition represents a concrete initiative to support China’s carbon peak and carbon neutrality strategy and to implement the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government’s requirements for accelerating the transition from traditional to new growth drivers. Closely aligned with industry practices and talent development needs, the competition aims to promote talent selection, training, and the transformation of competition outcomes. It seeks to accelerate the cultivation of technical, multi-skilled, and knowledge-based professionals suited to the development of the new energy commercial vehicle industry, providing strong talent support for industrial growth, promoting the deep integration of new energy technologies with Shandong’s competitive industries, and helping build a new high ground for the new energy sector.
